All Hands on Deck
Much like patios, decks make for great additions to a home. Both provide a place to relax, enjoy sunny weather when the season is right and entertain guests. JC Siding & Construction is proud to specialize in both patios and decks in Richmond, and the neighboring area, and we’d be even prouder if you were to give us the honor of installing your new deck. Let us show you how to expand your living space and boost the value of your home the right way.
We’ve Got You Fully Covered
Much like your home, your deck project requires the proper foundation for it to stand the test of time and do so with appeal and style. Some of the things we suggest you focus on when designing your new outside space include:
- What you’ll mainly use the space for, which determines how your deck will be designed
- The type of relaxing space you desire and the furniture you wish to relax in, which also determines your deck layout
- Testing your space with stakes and string to make sure everything fits the way you want it to
- The materials to use in your project, such as PVC, composite and cedar
- Leaving enough space in your deck boards to allow for proper drainage

Relaxing in Style With Premium Patios
When the weather is great outside, it’s nice to have a place to relax or entertain friends and family. JC Siding & Construction is familiar with installing sterling patios in Richmond, and the neighboring area. If your current patio isn’t doing it for you, or if you don’t even have a patio, we’d love to give you exactly what you need and deserve. Let us show you just what you’re missing by not having the right patio for your home.
Add Value and Style to Your Property
Besides adding visual appeal to your home and a new place to relax, patios also add value to your home, at least they do when they’re done right. JC Siding & Construction has an abundance of experience installing patios, and we make sure they’re done to top-notch standards and to your complete satisfaction. Other reasons we recommend for at least thinking about patio installation or a patio upgrade include:
- Having the option of cooking outside and expanding your current kitchen and cooking capabilities
- Not needing to go far to unwind after a long day or enjoy gorgeous weather
- Providing yourself with a new space to entertain guests or just yourself with some music and refreshments
A Patio Job Well Done
While patios make for great home remodeling projects, they’re residential upgrades that have to be done right to truly and fully take advantage of their many benefits. Besides the expertise of the general contractor taking care of the job, you want to ensure the look of your patio blends with that of the rest of your home, otherwise, it will stick out for the wrong reasons. Additionally, you want to match the size of your patio with the size of your yard to maximize your home’s value.
Stamped Concrete
One way to add a little style to your patio area, without spending a lot, is to include stamped concrete. This process is also called textured or imprinted concrete, and it is meant to mimic the look of natural stones, brick, wood, or tile. It allows for more color and pattern options and requires a lot less maintenance than if you used actual stone, brick, wood, or tile. To create a stamped pattern, concrete is poured and allowed to partially set. When it reaches the proper elasticity, large “stamps” are put in place and pressed into the concrete to create the desired pattern. Because stamps are being used, there is a lot of freedom in what pattern you select. Using stamped concrete is a great way to enhance your outdoor area, without going over budget.
